Service and kitchen seemed to be overburdened with the restaurant half full. Special requests were forgotten or not accepted at all, otherwise the kitchen would be overwhelmed. Unfortunately, I couldn't take anything in the food. However, the location is nice and the drinks are good. Maybe you can be lucky with the food, at least we didn't have that.

Have only eaten there for months in the hope that there will be a new chef. Unfortunately the food still hasn't got any tastier. There is a lack of fresh fruit and vegetables. There are better restaurants in the price range.

We (4 people) ate in the cuckoo hall last night. The portions were just right, not excessively large and not “profit-optimized” small. We had four different dishes, everything tasted great. The restaurant is particularly recommended for game lovers. The price / performance ratio is very good in my opinion! The service was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very clean, also / especially the sanitary area. Due to the location on the edge of town / forest, a short hike (Osterstein Castle with a great view) is ideal.

Very extensive menu with Thuringian and rest-German cuisine, delicious food, moderate prices, friendly service and nice restaurant. I really don't know what I could deduct a point for.

Good food selection (German cuisine)! Food was served within 20 minutes and all three dishes tasted very good. A little too expensive in price. In my opinion, one or two euros cheaper for some dishes would be better. The portions were very good. The cake was delicious too. Just a little too expensive for the amount (whichever you choose). There are 3 types of ice cream (vanilla, chocolate and strawberry). However, this is apparently bought ice cream, which contained a lot of ice crystals. We sat outside and the ambience was really nice and cozy. In addition, the restaurant is close to the forest and in a kind of garden. So no vehicle noise! We would come back!

Great restaurant, one of the best in Gera for me. Lots of choice and very nice, courteous staff. Always worth a visit. In good weather even with a beer garden. Ideal as a starting point and / or end point for a hike through the city forest. The Gera zoo is also not far away.

Very cozy place to get traditional German dishes and more than that. Very helpful staff. Perfect place to have bigger celebrations because there are different rooms where a group can have their privacy.

Very lovingly furnished restaurant, very delicious food and quick service. Everything freshly prepared. There was live music today for men's day. Reservation desirable. We ate indoors because it was too loud outside. But otherwise there was nothing wrong. We recommend

We were eating here last week. Dogs and children are more than welcome. This is a big plus and not a matter of course. We also see the fact that you can pay by credit card as great. The waiter was very friendly and did every nonsense that our little man tapped without neglecting his work. There is a minus point because the food personally did not blow us away. Unfortunately, my duck was, in my opinion, completely dry, the sauce too watery and the herb overcooked. Unfortunately my friend didn't really like the fish either. But that's always very subjective.

Top really great price is right, best food. The service is very friendly if you come with dogs you get a water bowl that is filled and changed and even extra requests are not a problem and if you want something extra it is usually free of charge. I can only recommend it.
